I did Shadi’s 6 month program. Prior to working with her, I tried weight watchers, Shakeology, Optavia, Diet teas, working out with a trainer. None of these ever helped me achieve my goals. After working with Shadi, learning the right way to lose weight for ME, I’ve lost almost 60 pounds in just 6 months. What was once a daunting task, became easy because she held my hand. Shadi taught me how to lose weight and take care of my body the HEALTHY way. No fads, no gimmicks, no “diet” food. She pushed me out of my comfort zone of predisposed notions of diet and exercise and helped me realize how much I could do which gave me confidence as well. Just one month ago, I was barely hitting 2 thousand steps a day. Now, I can work out for at least an hour each day. I never realized how much I was getting in my own way. Shadi helped me realize that and I am forever grateful. She also noticed my lactose intolerance, gut issues which were attributing so much to my problems in health, losing weight, and fatigue. My period which was never normal my whole life started coming on time like clockwork and I am no longer pre-diabetic. Her method works and I am so glad I found her.

I have been overweight pretty much my entire life. I knew something was wrong because I was eating practically nothing and was nearing 200 lbs. I found Shadi through the referral of a friend. At first I was skeptical because I had been down this road so many times before. I’ve gone from one nutritionist to the next and they all said the same thing and I would always lose 5 lbs and stop there. Also, sending Shadi pics of my meals seemed ridiculous. But holy moly does it work, because I was eating all wrong and I had no idea. Being in contact with Shadi daily helped because she would assess how I felt after each meal too. She said from the beginning I may have an underlying gut problem. After 6 weeks, she referred me to a functional medicine doctor who really helped me with my gut and thyroid issues which allowed me to finally get off the yoyo of gaining and losing those same 5-10 lbs. Shadi’s knowledge and care is something I don’t think many people in the health industry have and I can tell she really cares about client outcomes. She is super nice but points out shortcomings and will help you get over the personal hurdles setting you back. We all have something and she got to the root cause of my anxiety and mental blocks that attributed so much to my weight gain.

I found Shadi on Instagram a year ago. After much back and forth of me being non-commital, I decided to go for it. I always had weird gas and bloating. Shadi pinpointed exactly what was wrong literally in the first meeting of speaking with me. She had me send pictures of my meals and in the first two weeks so much was wrong with what I was eating but which I thought was healthy. Thankfully, she didn’t just take away foods. She introduced me to many foods I thought were off limits but were actually nourishing and good. My stomach which always looked like a basketball became flat, and my stomach discomfort vanished. In the second phase of our sessions, she helped me realize that the tightness in my stomach was also due to some personal problems I was having and helped me develop action steps to better take care of myself and ease my anxiety. This really helped me with my digestion. Working with Shadi opened my eyes to health in a different way. I realize it is all connected and now I can better take care of myself.

I signed up with Shadi last year just to help encourage my husband with his weight loss journey. What is interesting about Shadi’s program is that my program and my husband’s were completely different. The customization of her program is very sensitive to the person. In our monthly sessions I realized that I was really getting in my own way and not prioritizing myself. Within weeks my energy was higher and was happier with way less anxiety. There were some days throughout our 3 months together than I wanted to cuss her out for making me merely walk for half an hour but in the end I realized why. I can honestly say that Shadi has literally changed my life. When I first came to Shadi, my life and my appearance were literally in shambles. I had just come off a hard year struggling with addiction and I felt like I wanted to take the second chance life had given me to be the best I could be, but I didn’t know where to start. When I walked into my first meeting with Shadi, I saw this glowing girl with a beaming heart ready to take me on and help. She assured me she would hold my hand and that everything was going to be fine. She broke a plan for me down on a piece of paper, highlighted it and handed it to me. I can tell you I was BLOWN away with how badly I was eating in the first two weeks when I would send her pictures of my food and she would point out how the health food I just bought was full of hidden sugars and seed oils. Within ONE month I lost 15 lbs. Although I was already going to the gym prior to starting with Shadi, she organized my days for me so that I wasn’t just wandering around the gym doing random stuff. In the second phase of my program with her, Shadi helped me realize a lot of the communication issues I had which attributed to the anxiety and frustration I had at home that manifested into poor eating and destructive habits. I lost 35 lbs in total and am now working out 6 days a week with a trainer and have been able to keep the weight off for over a year. Shadi realized that I was someone who needed structure to thrive and she gave that to me. I am forever indebted to her and her love and care.

Where to begin… Shadi changed my life. I saw an ad on LA Mommies and gave her a call. Shadi seemed like a very knowledgeable, caring yet no-nonsense person at the same time which really attracted me to her. At the time I was over 175 lbs. I was working out with a trainer 5X a week and weighing my food to the ounce. I was eating protein and vegetables only and I wanted to cry because frankly, I looked horrible. I was so unhappy, and I was about ready to give up. I almost had a heart attack when Shadi told me how much I can and should eat. I almost cried from fear when she told me to stop working out with my trainer. In the first 2 weeks I lost 10 lbs. From that day on, I was a believer. Within 6 months, I lost 27 lbs and gained a ton of muscle too which Shadi explained weighed more than fat so that is why I looked like I had lost SO much more than that. Shadi helped me find a workout that was more beneficial to my body. She realized that the years of dieting and restricting killed my metabolism and my hormones. The 2nd phase of my program focused on me and my happiness. Although it was hard for me to open up, this last aspect really was the key because between month 3-5 despite slight body improvements, the scale was literally stuck. In the last month, I lost the last 5 lbs. What made the weight loss stick was that she prepped my body never to be overweight again, and she said that to me the entire time. Throughout the 6 months not only would she keep me accountable, but she would educate me too so that when I left her program, I knew why I was doing what I was doing. I lost weight I was never able to lose by taking a leap of faith and doing her program. The system works.

Last year I signed up with Shadi through the referral of a friend. I am a full-time attorney and mom of 3 with little to no time to work out. Shadi helped me prioritize my time to attend to myself while providing me with healthy meals and recipes to keep me satisfied. Although at times I feel like I could have done more, I lost 10 lbs. in 3 months and started fitting into clothes I hadn’t been able to fit into in years. I can’t recommend Shadi enough. This girl knows what she is talking about. I was thin my entire life, and out of nowhere I started gaining weight. I was not overweight by any means, but I felt like I was completely out of my own body. I was doing bootcamp and eating so healthy, and still I was getting bigger. I walked into our first meeting crying. Anyone else would have thought I was crazy, but Shadi gave me a hug and told me everything was going to be ok. I never thought I would enjoy her program so much. I would send her pictures of my meals and she helped pinpoint some huge mistakes I was making. For me, it was simply not eating, and when I would I would eat very inflammatory things that I didn’t know were inflammatory. She recommended guided meditations, and she also told me to stop doing bootcamp. Within a month, I was able to get to where I wanted to be. I not only lost weight and got rid of my anxiety, but I also learned a lot from Shadi such as how to create healthy meals at home. I highly recommend working with Shadi, you will not be disappointed.

This program saved me from insanity. I am an older mom. I had two 10 year old twins and a surprise baby. I called Shadi from a FB recommendation and was so pleasantly surprised by her kindness and her ability to take charge. After our initial interview and a series of questions, she was able to help me construct a weight loss plan that involved me also not losing my milk supply. Shadi gave me a schedule and kept my accountable. Despite not sleeping to wake up for my baby, breast feeding, and only doing Pilates 3X a week I lost 15 pounds in 3 months. Between the daily check ins, I looked very forward to our meetings once a month so I could vent to her too. It is lonely being a mom to a newborn and Shadi was a friend for me in addition to being a coach. Thrilled with the results and will be recommending her to all my friends.

Shadi changed my life. After 2 hip surgeries and 2 C-sections, I had gained a significant amount of weight. I wouldn’t call myself a lazy person per se, but I just didn’t have the drive to work out and always came up with excuses. Part of the reason was because I am a full-time attorney working from home, a mom of 2 toddlers and a small dog, with little to no time to myself. I came across Shadi and Mind Body Health LA on Facebook. After reading her profile and looking through her photos, I received a good vibe automatically and decided to do a consultation with her. I love that she used to be an attorney too, I think we really connected there. I knew she was smart but there was a gentleness and passion to her where I knew she would be there for me. I had a lot of excuses in that first meeting, but she found easy solutions for all of them. I am a determined all or nothing type of person so once I got into the swing of things, it was smooth sailing. Due to being so heavy and having injuries, Shadi helped me ease into exercise and she made it so easy so it wasn’t so overwhelming. First it was walking, then it was walking with weights, then it was biking, and now I am fully weight lifting from the comfort of my own home thanks to Shadi’s resourcefulness and holding me accountable. I feel like any other program wouldn’t have been able to handle me because everything else is so cookie cutter out there on the market. She really took into account where I was starting from and went from there. She knows me and knows what I am going through. The benefit of having her there was that if I was ever in a food or exercise jam, I would text her and she would give me a solution. I love her so much and consider her a close friend even more than a coach at this point. I am 6 months into my journey and down almost 45 lbs without feeling hungry and light exercise. I highly recommend Shadi and her program. You won’t regret it.
