About Me

As a person who has struggled with weight from a young age, a healthy diet and lifestyle was a self-instilled discipline that I implemented into my life very early on. Way before I went to grad school, got married, had my children, I was always on my “A” game.

I thought I had figured out the “magic formula” to healthful living. But a couple years ago, everything changed. I spent the majority of my time thinking I had developed an incurable autoimmune disease. My body was doing all sorts of weird things. I wasn’t sleeping, losing hair, gaining weight – and not able to lose it despite a very active lifestyle and healthy eating habits. And if that weren’t enough, every time I ate, I would get sick. After seeing a few doctors and having them tell me vague things such as “you’re fine. you’re just stressed” – I finally decided to ditch the doctors and take matters into my own hands. I was determined to figure out what the heck was wrong, and fix it.  Through months of trial and error, blood tests, seeking eastern medicine and reading every medical abstract published on the internet, I realized I had major gut issues, severe vitamin deficiencies and heavy metal poisoning. Now that I knew what was wrong… how would I heal? Through a strict elimination diet, endless research of supplements and treatments under the sun, I figured out how to heal.

In my path to healing, I learned that health isn’t only about what we eat or how much we exercise. If it were, I would have never ended up in that position to begin with. Health also involves who we surround ourselves with, our selfcare, and our day-to-day rituals. My personal experience, coupled with my knowledge and passion for health inspired me to pursue getting my Certification in Integrative Nutrition and Health Coaching. Over the last year, I have helped dozens of clients reach their health goals and it has been the most fulfilling experience. There are many who silently struggle with their health, stress, and diet for years. But it doesn’t need to be that way. Join me on this journey of health!
